Associate - Finance

Role Description: Associate, Finance Operations

The Associate, Finance Operations will support Paceline’s Vice President, Finance Operations to develop and maintain financial operations of the funds and management company.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and review work of external administrator with respect to fund and management company accounting and investor deliverables
    • Manage chart of accounts
    • Monthly close and general ledger review
    • Review administrator deliverables including quarterly investor reporting and capital call notices
  • Maintain tracking and reporting tools to support expense reporting and analysis
    • Assist with production of monthly reporting deliverables
    • Assist with quarterly reporting and ongoing maintenance of books and records
    • Assist with monthly and quarterly cashflow planning at manager and fund entities
  • Coordinate audit deliverables
  • Prepare deliverables for various investor, legal and compliance reporting needs
  • Participate in a variety of special projects and ad-hoc requests

Preferred Experience:

  • 2-3+ years progressive professional experience in public accounting, or managerial accounting at a private fund or within alternative investments
  • Outstanding academic results and a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or economics from a leading academic institution.
  • Highly numerate with developed quantitative capabilities; demonstrable financial modeling and evaluation skills are critical.
  • Extraordinary focus on details, accuracy, and quality
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-moving entrepreneurial team environment
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); exceptionally strong Excel skills are required
