Bio
Derrick joined Paceline in April 2026 with a focus on private equity asset management and underwriting. Prior to joining Paceline, Derrick spent twelve years at Lone Star Funds and its affiliate, Hudson Advisors, where he held a range of senior roles spanning underwriting and asset management, as well as fund operations and finance. Throughout his tenure, he developed deep expertise across the investment lifecycle and contributed to a wide range of investment strategies and portfolio initiatives, most recently including a focus on AI strategy and implementation.
Earlier in his career, Derrick worked in investment banking at Citi and Merrill Lynch and began his professional journey as a management consultant at Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Derrick earned his undergraduate degree from Morehouse College and his MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
